In the summer of 2024, I had the pleasure and opportunity to curate, participate, and direct the feel for three Art and Music Festivals. I was given full creative reign on design, production, and curation for two local Art Festivals, and had my artwork licensed out for a Rodeo.

FOR OAK CLIFF

“Get Connected Dallas" celebrated the breadth of community support by connecting guests to devices, internet access, digital services, skills training, and more. This cross-generational event addressed barriers to digital access that impact education, job training, connections to benefits and services, healthcare, and other aspects of modern life.
​
The event was a free, fun-filled celebration of digital inclusion, technology, and community. Attendees enjoyed live music from DJ 13lackbeard, the official DJ of the Dallas Cowboys, and our MC Space Boi Fresh. They explored our robot petting zoo, featuring robots from Trilogy, Robot Lab, and Best of Texas, and participated in interactive workshops on digital skills, games, rides, and much more.

The day was packed with engaging activities like a beat-making workshop hosted by Let The Beat Build and the Digital Art Competition Voting, where attendees voted on their favorite piece. We also encouraged guests to visit the For Oak Cliff Farmers Market and join in the raffle for exciting prizes!

EPIC ART AND MUSIC FESTIVAL

The festival grounds will be brimming with artistic flair, featuring numerous demonstrations like screen printing and tie-dyeing that will inspire your creative spirit. Prepare to be amazed by the Live Welding demonstration, presented by the talented GPISD students, and guided by the renowned Joaquin Soto. Witness their ingenuity come to life as you embark on a captivating sculpture walk, showcasing the impressive works of these budding artists. And don’t miss the chance to capture magical photos with enchanting creatures wandering the grounds.

As the sun sets, settle in for an electrifying evening as we light up the stage with the sensational Tejas Brothers as our headliners! Their exhilarating performance on Saturday night will reach its crescendo with the premiere of their newest hit, “It’s In My Blood,” set against the mesmerizing backdrop of the hugely popular Illuvia Vegas-style water & light show.

While you’re soaking in the creative atmosphere of the Epic Art & Music Festival, take some time to explore our mainstay attractions in this vibrant entertainment district.
